Grandparents make everything better...

Before we left for the Thanksgiving holiday, we invited our grandparents in for a Grandparents Breakfast. I love grandparents! They were so sweet, supportive, and social. The students shared their grandparents with the whole class as we read our poems, Mayflower books, and thankful lists. Thank you to all the grandparents who were able to come and make our day so special!

Long time No see

Hi Friends! I'm sorry I haven't added a new post lately. We've been working really hard and having a lot of fun. I couldn't wait to transfer my new pics from my phone to my computer and create a new post. Well... that didn't happen. There was some problem in technology land and all of my *new* pictures (including field day) are GONE! Lost in space...forever! I am super bummed tonight...and fighting off tears. It's almost Thanksgiving...I have a lot to be thankful for...right???! Right. I'm going to try to learn a lesson from this and email my pictures or transfer my pictures right away so I don't lose any more memories. I'm so so sorry.

I was able to save a few new ones...

Welcome November!

Continuing to explore balanced systems...

Adding weight to the bottom DOES help keep the paper arm and pencil stable!

Finding the missing partners...

Enjoying indoor recess...

A Happy Meal Party!!!

(Thanks again, Jose L.'s Mom & Dad!)

The Pencil Challenge:
Can you balance a pencil on it's point using wire and clothespins???
Ready...Set...Go!!!

Wow! I'm pleasantly surprised every day!

I hope everyone has a wonderful Thanksgiving.
I am so thankful for such a loving, caring, bright, and determined class!
