Hello, New Firsties!!!

Welcome to Mrs. Scott's Scoop class of 2015-2016! I'm so excited to have you in my class and for the wonderful year ahead of us! We've been spending these first few weeks getting to know eachother and building our kind and caring classroom community. We've also discussed how our room should look and sound during different parts of the day. I'm really proud of this class for learning the expectations and procedures so quickly. Here are some pictures I've taken so far...

As you can see, we are busy FIRST GRADERS!!! 

I think the students AND teachers are exhausted! Starting a new school year is hard work!! Rest up... It's going to be a SUPER year!!!

Soooooooo sweet!!! I will miss each and every one of them as they move on to 2nd grade! Thank you for a wonderful first year at Vance... filled with laughter, smiles, and hugs! Best of luck next year... remember to come back and visit!!!

So I come home, put down my teacher bag, and start helping with dinner. The next thing I know, I turn around to see Esli reading our research "all about" books and wearing my teacher ID. Aye yi yi...

Hello, June!

Time is FLYING!!! I'm soaking in every single day with these fun kiddos!

Teeth are falling out left and right around here! These kids are keeping the Tooth Fairy busy!!!

When I'm doing assessments... These students run their own reading groups...LOVE IT!

We are geologists!!! Studying rocks is so much fun! Ask your child what happens when you rub rocks together, or when you put them in water...

Do you know any volcanic rocks?! These students do...

The Spring Fling was a success! It was awesome to see so many familiar faces on Saturday. The face painting stand was very popular! 

And we kicked off spirit week yesterday with Crazy Hat Day! 

Esli stayed very busy last weekend... Going to a music festival and a parade at Daddy's work! 

Esli was ready for nap time!

My Oh My, What a Wonderful Day!

These kiddos are making my heart smile so big every single day. They are really turning into second graders right in front of my eyes! I'm one proud teacher!

Welcome to Market Day! We became real live producers and consumers... Buying and selling goods and services! The cookie shop was VERY POPULAR!!!
